「活水編譯小組」於2009年8月成立，在胡國楨神父的領導下，最先翻譯的華人聖經讀物是Raymond E. Brown神父的大作：《隨著教會禮儀讀福音》、《若望福音與書信詮釋》及《五旬節與聖神》。之後，胡神父選定The Liturgical Press出版的New Collegeville Bible Commentary （New Testament）作為「活水編譯小組」翻譯「聖經詮釋書」的主要作品。如今十五本新約聖經詮釋書已全部出版 ，「活水編譯小組」的首期工作也完成了。
